This 17-year-old has been in the business of trying to save the world since age six. His powerful speech at the United Nations in 2015—when he was just fifteen years old—cut straight to heart of the biggest threat of the world’s inability to take meaningful action on climate change: “What’s at stake right now is the existence of my generation,” he said. Two years prior, in 2013, he received the United States Community Service Award and served on President Obama’s Youth Council.
